Slag Removal Pins for Deburring Machines: Loose or Base-Mounted

CEPICAT slag removal pins for deburring machinesIf you cut sheet metal with laser, plasma or oxy-fuel, you know the problem: the slag left stuck to the edge of the part. Deburring machines knock it off with steel pins mounted on a rotating disc or brush — and those pins are the wear part: they wear down and need replacing. At CEPICAT we make and supply them — loose, or mounted on a plastic base — ready to ship and compatible with the main machine brands.

What slag is, and why the pins are the key

During plasma, oxy-fuel or laser cutting, molten metal builds up on the beam-exit side and forms slag on the inner and outer contours of the part. It has to be removed before further processing — for safety and to avoid damaging parts. Doing it by hand with hammer and chisel or an angle grinder is slow and labour-intensive; the industrial method is to knock it off with a deslagging brush made of multiple flexibly mounted steel pins that strip it away quickly and evenly. Because they work by impact, the pins wear — they are the consumable that drives the real cost of the process.

Loose pins or a plastic-based brush

We offer both, depending on how your machine works:

Loose pins — to replace only the worn pins on your current disc or head. Available in 55 and 65 mm lengths with M6 and M8 threads, the most common sizes on the market.

Brush with plastic base — the complete set, pins mounted on a technical base ready to fit. You swap the whole brush in seconds, no pin-by-pin work, and it costs less than aluminium-backed solutions. Available in 115, 125, 150, 165 and 230 mm diameters, with M14, Q-Fin (left/right) or standard fittings, in single- or double-row versions.

Compatible with the main machines

Our deslagging pins and brushes fit the most common deburring and slag-removal machines — Weber, ARKU, TFON, Lissmac, Q-Fin and EMC, among others. Tell us your machine model and the type of slag you generate (laser, plasma or oxy-fuel) and we will prepare the pin or base with the right hardness and format.

Why CEPICAT

Performance equal to or better than made-in-Germany tools like Boeck or Picard, at a sharper price and with fast delivery from our factory. No engineering mysteries, no overpriced spares — just pins that do their job, stripping off the slag, and replace without hassle.
